Stephen, Just to keep you posted that I haven't given up on this issue. I shot a few email back and forth with someone at MM who mention that the OS or the switch my servers are on, may not have multicast enabled. I initially looked over the issue of the network switch, think if the instances were on the same box, then they wouldn't be going out the the switch. I stand corrected as MM confirmed that the even a cluster of instances that reside on a single server still send up to the network switch just to come right back down.
So you may want to check that multicast is enabled on your switch. This didnt fix it for me because I was already enabled for another service of the system. So now I'm trying to figure out is the SOP for locking down the server OS disabled multicasting there. Unfortunately our baseline lock-down consists of hundreds of configuration settings and registry edits, and I'm not even sure where to beging to look. Its not like there is a Service named "Multicasting".... or is there? -Adam On Wed, 8 Dec 2004 11:26:59 -0700, Stephen Lynn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > In my case everything is running on the same box so I'm not sure adding > it's own ip address as a trusted host would do anything, but stranger > things have worked. > > Why did you recompile the web server connector?
