As an independent developer/small business owner, I often feel frustrated and alone... there's an amazing array of challenges that indie developers face, from marketing products and services to keeping up on the books at the same time as handling project management, DBA, application dev and RIA development. It gets exhausting, and while I constantly contemplate ways to improve the way we work, I have been craving some companionship in this here boat.
So, with that in mind, I created cf_Business, a SmartGroups.com group, for small biz/indies to join, and discuss issues, find some mentorship, and generally compare notes on BUSINESS topics that revolve around our position as independent Macromedian developers/designers/vendors. So, if you're an independent or a small firm and your business model is Macromedia-centric, consider this your official invitation to join... A secondary focus of the group is to put small enterprises together so that... and it's got to happen... when I need a DBA or a designer, I know people who are looking for work and can fill those holes in my own small enterprise.
