Have you seen the "Sessions with CGI::Application" article?

I have and I have used the tips/tricks to implement a session application, but personally, I find writing a subclass of CGI::App less of an elegant solution. Well, not as elegant as ValidateRM, where you can just use it whenever you'd like.
Note that I said 'a' (single session application), so my experience is limited, still.
