Dear Neighbors:
By now you should have received, either by mail or hand delivery, the
newsletter announcing the Quad Elections with enclosed nomination form and quad
descriptions. 5 p.m. Saturday, October 10 is the deadline for receipt of
your nomination form to nominate yourself or someone else to represent your
Quad. They must be received at the CVCBD offices at 2434 St. Paul Street or at
2926 St. Paul Street (Jeff Millard Chairman of Governance Committee).
If you have not received a form you can download one from
www.charlesvillage.org.
You should also check out the revised bylaws on the same website where you
can compare them with the current bylaws to see what changes are being
proposed. These changes will be discussed on Oct 13 as well.
For those of you who want the Benefits District to respond to your needs
and concerns, this is one of the many opportunities you have to make a
difference. Don't miss it.

Fall Election of Quad Representatives
To the CVCBD Board of Directors
Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at SS Phillip and James Church, 2801 N Charles
Registration begins: 6 pm
Candidates' Speeches begin: 6:30
Voters may cast their ballots anytime between 6 and 7 pm or when the
speeches are over whichever comes last.
Proper I.D. required
Attend the fall election of four at-large members to the Charles Village
Community Benefits District (CVCBD) Board of Directors, one from each of
the four quadrants of the District to serve for one year beginning January
1, 2010. Candidates will speak and take questions from the floor before the
election. Nominate yourself or others to serve, and attend the meeting.
Vote for the candidate you feel will truly represent your neighborhood and
be responsive to its unique concerns!
After the election, there will be a public discussion of the proposed new
Bylaws
