Looks like everyone is busy, let's see if I can help you out. You have a
1969 307, with a SHORT water pump? You don't sound sure. Here is a simple
test, if you can stick your finger between the back of the water pump and
the front of the timing chain cover, it is the LONG water pump ('69 later),
if NOT it's a SHORT water pump. As soon as you are sure which pump setup
you have, we can go from there.
