go-go DC some Maasai jump on left in crowd and cinderella on stage, fast beat
like Highlife.
Supremes did a Maasai jump real high, wearing heels, for Chain Gang publicity.
I first noticed
it in church at Harvard-educated Sister Talley's in Rockville at her
tentmeeting out back.

I just spent a lot of time going through African music and dance vids and go-go
is
respectable. DC women need to go back to Africa for moves to keep up with these
rhythms but the music is hot and so is Beat Feet compared to Africa hiphop
slide moves.
Some of those audiences are still neuro-linguistically arrested by empire rap
winner-take-all,
notmoving every day every body.

Hippies(African Sekous grind dancing) and Freaks(danse Afrique!):
The first hippies...danced to local BLACK R&B bands...in dives far removed from
the fabled Sunset Strip – because, Carl Franzoni has said, “There were NO WHITE
BANDS [in LA] yet,” and “There were no
clubs on Sunset Boulevard”...Vito and the Freaks{AFRIQUES!}: Vito Paulekas, his
wife Zsou and Karl Franzoni, the leaders of a group of about 35 dancers whose
antics enlivened the Byrds early gigs...free-form dancing.....Byrds' Chris
Hillman also credited the strange group with being at the forefront of the
hippie movement: “Carl and all those guys were way ahead of everyone on
hippiedom fashion.” Ray Manzarek of The Doors remembered them as well:
“There were these guys named Carl and Vito who had a dance troupe of
gypsy freaks(AFRIQUES!). They were let in for free, because they were
these quintessential hippies, which was great for tourists...The first
hippies...danced to local black R&B bands”
