Javalobby (www.javalobby.org) is reporting that Sun have put out a press
release stating that JDK1.2 will be released on Dec 8th. Considering the
court ruling and some of the articles they've been posting on
java.sun.com (one of which said that with 1.2, java was finally
"complete and stable" and "delivered on its promises") I think Sun are
going to be trying to hype this as hard as they can. If we can get our
alpha/beta/whatever release out in this kind of timeframe (I have no
idea how close we are... wedding plans taking all my spare time so I'm
not really actively involved atm) it might be possible to ride this hype
a bit, especially as "open source" articles seem to be appearing all
over the mainstream media.

Just some thoughts...

Stuart.
