In fact, these variables have the usual directory scope, so they don't affect directories entered by ADD_SUBDIRECTORY() before they've been set. Hence, set CMAKE_RUNTIME_OUTPUT_DIRECTORY before calling the ADD_SUBDIRECTORY(Exec) command.
