*Senior Linux Systems Administrator* POSITION SUMMARY LiveVox is a next generation carrier (IMS-based) and the leading provider of on-demand voice portals. The company has had tremendous success in attracting enterprise contact center clients (over 300 clients, 8 Fortune 1000) and is expanding its network substantially. We are looking to hire a Senior System Administrator to support expansion and growth. The role requires strong knowledge in Linux, IP networking domain (SIP & IMS), PSTN (SS7), Windows Server 2008, and a strong operational focus. The qualified candidate must be able to perform a variety of challenging assignments associated with Red Hat Linux System administration and engineering with high levels of functional independence. The team's responsibilities include provisioning, installing, and upgrading servers, systems policy management, and technical assistance on infrastructure-related projects, implementing best practices, and performing third party quality control. RESPONSIBILITIES •Suport and implement the design and architecture of LiveVox’s IMS-based next generation network infrastructure consisting of a heterogeneous Linux/Windows environment. •Assist in development, implementation, documentation, and performance of NOC policies and procedures. •Provide risk assessments and schedules for the rollout of software updates and installation of new equipment and facilities with customers, development groups, and vendors. •Setup, maintain, and monitor Centos/Redhat Linux systems. •Implementation of Linux and Windows cross-platform integrated systems. •Deploy new code releases to UAT and production environments. •Automate code deployments. •Develop, test and update disaster recovery plans and operating procedures. •Maintain patch level and security updates. •Debug and troubleshoot issues arising in Dev/QA/UAT and Production environments. •Researches and evaluates new & emerging technologies. •Perform and provide on call 24x7x365 support. •Implement strategies and plans to increase service reliability, increase customer features and drive network quality. •Build scale and reliability test plans and acceptance criteria for all production deployments. •Provide technical leadership to customer service and NOC technicians. QUALIFICATIONS •BS in CSC, CPE, MIS, EE or related network engineering field. •5+ years expert-level experience as a production Linux Engineer is required. Software industry experience is highly preferred. •Production experience with Windows 2008/2003 integration. •Extensive experience with scripting ( Perl, shell, C, C++). •A detailed oriented planner with high level of sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational background. •Demonstrate strong follow-through and consistently keep commitments. •Contribute to an environment that encourages information sharing, cross training and an absolute focus on resolving customer issues effectively. •Experience with data transfer and Web services standards, such as J2EE, JSP, XML, XSLT, SOAP, and WSDL. •Automated systems and performance monitoring with Nagios. •Knowledge of data & voice communications protocols and technologies such as: SIP, SS-7, TCP/IP, VoIP and PSTN. •Experience with software deployment automation tools such as JumpStart, KickStart, BladeLogic, etc. •Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, NIS, DNS, NFS, SMTP, FTP, SSH, and LDAP. •Experience managing SAN/NAS solutions with various storage platforms such as EMC and NetApp a plus. •Experience supporting version control applications such as CVS, Subversion, or Perforce. •Ability to respond promptly to system outages 24/7. •Hands-on experience in tools to perform traffic engineering, peering, capacity planning, intrusion detection, spam control, network audits and security. •Experience working with carriers, collocation centers, and remote operations. •Technical background with experience in SQL, particularly query-creation and an understanding of tables and table relationships - experience with Oracle is desired. •3+ years professional experience in an Operations NOC environment involving a geographically distributed network. *Fecha:* 8 de agosto de 2011 *Localidad:*Medellin *Departamento:* Antioquia *Salario:* Negotiable *Comienzo:* Inmediate *Duración:* Indefinite *Tipo de trabajo:* Tiempo Completo *Solicitudes:*Please submit your resume in English, indicating the position you are applying for.
