Thank you for looking at the patch Craig. My issue isn't really with recursive
structures, it just happened that the easiest test case i could think to
demonstrate this issue was a recursive case.

I tested the modified digester with Tomcat 4.1 and it does indeed break on
startup. However all digester's test cases are running fine with this patch.
Could you show me a quick example that would break on this patch please ? That
might be worth adding it to the existing test cases.

If you don't mind i'm reopening the bug, i'd like to provide a solution, either
by adding a new rule to the digester's distribution, or by implementing this as
an optional feature of the existing CallMethod rule.
