My issue isn't really with recursive structures, it just happened that the easiest test case i could think to demonstrate this issue was a recursive case. I tested the modified digester with Tomcat 4.1 and it does indeed break on startup. However all digester's test cases are running fine with this patch. Could you show me a quick example that would break on this patch please ? That might be worth adding it to the existing test cases.
