I believe that a low-power-use auxiliary processor would be EXTREMELY valuable. There are LOTS of things that could run on a slower lower-powered processor, greatly extending battery life. At any time the high-speed high-power-use main processor can be fired up to handle the real heavy lifting. Moving the monitoring functions off the main CPU would be a GREAT improvement.
