Sun Remarketing is interesting. They were a purveyor of way over-priced stuff. I don't know who their customers were--maybe institutions like schools who needed an established entity to take a Purchase Order. The purchasing process of bureaucracies makes it difficult to impossible for them to buy things on the used market.

That brings back some memories!

I bought my first ever Mac from Sun Remarketing. I'd used an SE/30 for some time at work by then, and around mid-1992, I bought a Mac Classic II (new) from them. I think I paid around $800 for it.

Years later, I brought that compact to Quito, Ecuador for my then father-in-law to use as a word processor to replace his ancient portable manual typewriter. (He writes poetry and a sort of fictionalized history.) He's published at least 2 books that I know of using that little guy.
