My recommendation is to just get a wireless bridge, you can connect it to any computer using the ethernet jack regardless of operating system.
I got one when I wanted to run Linux years ago when the chance of finding a reliable wireless card driver seemed chancy. Not cheap, but I'm certain you can scrounge one for less than $100 (especially if you buy used). --John Emmerling "Roger D.
