cvs needs a home directory, it's why you need to use a real user with a home
directory

Hi dan,
I did that already and it did not worked either. It seems like it is a
security issue because now I tried with my own username and it run
perfectly. Is there an explanation for this??
thanks,
erick.

you may need to run it under a user account, not system account

Hi there,
I am having trouble running continuum as a service on winXP. Whenever I
run it as a service the build reports the following error:
Provider message: The cvs command failed.
Command output:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
cvs [update aborted]: could not find out home directory
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought it would be security related and I had the service to run with
administrator rights but still the problem persisted.
When I launch it directly it works perfect.
Any idea??
cheers,
erick.
