What happened is that I unchecked the 'Automatic IP' (I use static addressing) but the 'Get name from DHCP' checkbox remained ON and not modificable, and in my opinion it shouldn't. Since I needed to set my host name, I had to re-enable the 'Automatic IP' checkbox, then uncheck the 'Get name' checkbox (now possible) and then disable again the 'Automatic IP' checkbox. It's a bug, IMHO. If you leave the 'Automatic IP' checkbox ON (as is by default), the checkbox 'Get host name from DHCP' remains grayed out and not modifiable.
