The parallel stuff actually works the other way. It allows you to push out urpm* commands to multiple machines. ie, if you were the sysadmin of 50 machines, you could be on yours and enter urpmi --parallel company packagename and it would connect to the other 49 machines and install the rpm on them. > Definitely, man page documentation on the parallel options would be nice.
