I have been using the full courier-mta suite for years with no problems. Today something odd popped up that I have never seen before. Lots of outgoing email. Two addresses got stuck in the queue and failed to send. I have turned off all filters and such, but it appears that courier is not trying to even connect to the remote server. First I get something like this in my log:
Sep 6 15:31:17 driftwood courieresmtp: id=0022401B.5048FA03.00002518,from=<[email protected]>,addr=<[email protected]>: Operation now in progress Sep 6 15:31:17 driftwood courieresmtp: id=0022401B.5048FA03.00002518,from=<[email protected]>,addr=<[email protected]>,status: deferred I don't see this message normally and I can't remember seeing it before. After a while, I get this in my log: Sep 6 15:33:57 driftwood courieresmtp: id=00224013.5048FAA3.00002604,from=<[email protected]>,addr=<[email protected]>: No such file or directory Sep 6 15:33:57 driftwood courieresmtp: id=00224013.5048FAA3.00002604,from=<[email protected]>,addr=<[email protected]>,status: deferred The message is stuck and never goes. Outgoing email address is valid (works from other servers). Does anyone have a clue where I should be looking next? -Nathan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
