Hi,
a user complained about sent mail archived via BCC not being flagged \Seen. I could use maildrop to add that imap flag, although it seems a more complicate setup than just

   echo ./Maildir/.Sent > .courier-sent

But is it safe to set \Seen on a message going to "/new"? Isn't it possible to place it directly to "/cur", as if some other client had already seen it, so as not to trigger announces?

Do you mean, YOUR USER is sending a mail using Bc: and it is saved to
INBOX.Sent in the /new/ subdirectory? Never seen this. Saved messages
are always in /cur/ and have the "seen" flag.

Do you use a Web-Interface which does not use IMAP like "squirrelmail"?

Squirrelmail is crap because it screw up things

Anyone else using BCC?

Yes me and it had never failed.

You must have a custom script. Normally, delivered mail goes to the new directory, in whatever folder it gets delivered.
