Further update: Currently the news isn't good. The server is "unreachable" and on being provided with access to their KVM via a broswer I get a WindowsLogon screen, which I can't logon to (surprise). I am really hoping they haven't trashed the machine as rebuilding from scratch is not going to be fun :(
I am still waiting to hear further, and I'm hoping whatever access they intended to give me was just pointing to the wrong server.
