: Banking sources announced today that the United Arab Emirates is going to
: deposit $130 million in the Jordanian central bank to help support King
: Abdullah bin Hussein.

: The sources added that this amount will soon be deposited and the UAE is

: They also added that the decision to support Jordan was taken by the UAE

: Iraq's Aziz speaks on Turkey, the siege on Iraq

: Iraqi Deputy Premier Tariq Aziz announced on Tuesday that all the
: long-range Scud missiles Iraq had imported from the Soviet Union were
: totally destroyed.

: In a press conference he held in Ankara on Tuesday Aziz added that Iraq
: does not constitute any danger to its neighbors. He added that his
current
: visit to Turkey falls in the natural course of relations between

: in the two countries.

: Aziz indicated the common interests between the two neighboring
countries,
: stating, "Therefore I held lengthy and profound talks with the Turkish
: Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit and with the Foreign Minister Ismael Cem and

: The central committee of the Kurdistani Workers Party (PKK) announced in

: statement issued in Ankara on Tuesday that the party will continue its
: armed struggle until it achieves self-rule in southeast Turkey. In a
: statement, broadcast by the Kurdish MAD TV, the committee said that armed
: struggle with Turkey is continuous and called for alertness in
preparation

: Spain offers Moroccans 27,000 seasonal jobs

: Spain announced on Tuesday it is offering Moroccans 27,000 seasonal jobs
: for which they can apply at the Spanish consulates in Morocco.

: The announcement was made by Spanish secretary of state for foreign
policy,
: Ramon De Miguel Y Egea, who visited Morocco to dedicate new offices of
the
: Spanish consulate in Tetouan. He said the seasonal workers will enjoy all
: occupational guaranties, including housing, and social security.

: Regarding the stringent measures enforced by Spain to limit access to the
: Moroccan northern town of Sebta, that is still under Spanish rule, the
: Spanish official said the measures are meant to restrict the entrance of
: Africans who use the city to emigrate illegally to Europe. He further
: called for intensifying the fight against illegal immigration rings, an
: activity that he described as "inhumane and barbarious."

: He went on that the Spanish government is working to legalize the stay of
: Moroccans settled in Spain without the required documents, adding that
