To answer your question, NATO --a group of 19 nations including the US-- is attacking the goverment of Yugoslavia because that goverment is engaging in a policy of genocide against non-Serb citizens of Kosovo. If what you say about the KLA is true, then it is a criminal organization and ought to be dealt with as such. But it is very obvious that the government of Yugoslavia is not trying to deal with the KLA as a criminal organization, but is attempting to eradicate the whole non-Serb population of Kosovo. As for you comments about the American press, again, you must be kidding! The press is in the government's pocket on this one because Clinton played the "genocide card," however speciously. Today's press is more concerned with emotional/entertainment value than with anything approaching fact (unless it serves the end of entertainment, of course). There are plenty of independent news sources who have demonstrated time and time again how lethargic the mainstream press is in going after facts that might cast the Clinton administration in a negative light. Only when forced off their asses by the gadfly press (ie, Drudge, Joe Farrah, et al), do they finally get "religion" and go for the story. The reports of dead servicemen in Yogoslavia may or may not be true, but to discount it simply because Dan Rather or Peter Jennings haven't reported it is the height of niavete`.
