Probably because "smart bombs" are really dumb and often miss killing
civilians, and collateral damage is high. High tech toys like the stealth
fighter are shot down by small arms fire, ridiculous in the extreme. They
don't want you to know because it ain't good for us, and that is the strategy
that they used in Vietnam, and look where that got us.
