For comparison, see how well Kim's and Saddam's messages get through, and they're comparative statesmen after all. I read Saddam even offered to step out and arrange free elections with UN oversight, on the eve of the war, but no. - Still had to be a war. Most Americans have never even heard of this. Now Kim's sayings and "blabberings" (what gets through) are literally often made fun of in the west, due to their (provided by CIA) translations. - Perception management at work, making the enemy into a fool and the US justified in it's actions. A modern war is most of all a PR war, where puppets and their masters are making a play for us in media. Money is the ultimate motivator. It all comes back to it in the end, one form or the other.
