While doing research for my book "Circle of Death: Clinton's Climb to the Presidency," I watched as much of the congressional hearings into the Davidian incident as I could. A couple of noteworthy things were: 1) a 15-yr-old girl who never claimed to have been molested prior to the hearings, and who was one of the girls released between the ATF raid (Feb) and the FBI assault (Apr), and who was also examined by Dr. Bruce Perry (professor of psychiatry at the Baylor College of Medicine, and Chief of Psychiatry at Texas Children's Hospital), testified during the hearings that she was molested and that she was one of Koresh's "carnal wives," yet no one cross examined her using Dr. Perry's report; and 2) ATF Agent Davy Aguillera's probable cause affidavit (on which the Koresh arrest warrant was based) related Joyce Sparks' (a caseworker with the Texas DPS) paraphrasing of Koresh's reference to the L.A. riots, yet the Treasury Dept's official report reflects that her last visit to Mt. Carmel was prior the April 1993 riots. Finally (and I reported this in Chap. 8 of my book), while writing the book I interviewed at least 6 ATF agents and relatives of the agents who were killed in the shootout on Feb. 28, 1993, and was given some very interesting information. Because I'm a former U.S. Marine, I was able to sort of "hit it off" with the parents of Todd McKeehan (himself a former Marine, and a veteran of Desert Storm). They told me that Todd and two other members of the ATF team who were killed at Mt. Carmel, had been members of Bill Clinton's security entourage during the '92 campaign. They said that after the election they were all transferred from the Secret Service to the ATF, which, albeit not completely unprecedented, was nonetheless strange. Todd's parents told me he was disgusted with Clinton. Todd had referred to the presidential candidate as a "scum bag" whom he "wouldn't trust any farther than I could throw." He said Clinton was abusive to everyone in uniform, and was constantly "hitting on women, and asking us to talk to women for him." If that sounds familiar, it may be because that same M.O. seems to have characterized Mr. Clinton's activities as governor of Arkansas. Todd also told his parents, "I could fry him [i.e., Clinton] if I really wanted to." Todd did not elaborate, nor did his parents really understand what he meant by that. Todd's parents gave me a nice 5" x 8" color photo of Todd in his dress blues after the interview. The morning of Feb. 28, 1993, when the ATF was about to conduct its assault on Mt. Carmel, undercover agents Rodriguez and Aguillera realized that the Davidians had been tipped off (a Davidian who was an independent mail carrier had been asked directions to Mt Carmel by the driver of a local TV station's truck, and had been told that the ATF was about to raid the "compound"). The agents warned their superiors. Ignoring their pleas, SACs Sarabyn and Chojnacki ordered the raid to proceed. During the shootout, another agent I interviewed, Keith Constantino, advised that he was "On the roof when the shit started. Guys were falling left and right. It was so confusing, you couldn't tell who was shooting at whom. In fact, our own agents could easily have shot other ATF agents." When I asked him if he thought that's what happened he said, "I can't say anything. I'm disabled now [Constantino is the agent in the videotapes you see falling off the roof; he crushed his hip as he was trying to descend the ladder] and they'll [ATF] take away my benefits -- or worse -- if say anything else." Now you figure out what the hell was happening there that day. I think one reason now-Sen. Charles Shumer tried so hard to prove that the Davidians fired first, is that he knows that wasn't the case; and also knows the ATF shot its own agents. The question is why? Why the raid? Why did only agents previously associated with Clinton's security team die? Was Mt Carmel a CIA safehouse? I think it was. I think the whole thing was contrived to: 1) Destroy evidence; 2) Snuff out former CIA operatives who were a risk to reveal the CIA's own drug-trafficking and money-laundering operations; and 3) As an added bonus, to snuff out some other guys who knew too much about some things Mr. Clinton didn't want revealed. Now, admittedly, the last point may be a stretch, because I think Clinton is nothing more than a cheap pawn on a very large chessboard. I just thought you guys might want this info.
