Hello, Everyone! For four hours tomorrow night I will be on the Coast To Coast show (Art Bell's old haunt) with Mike Siegel. This will be my "get acquainted" session with Mike, and I look forward to meeting him. We are supposed to be going over some of my old material about hominoids and human origins, but we will also go over some of the new material I have been discovering about human origins while doing research for Book Two. The most important of these is my exploration of the so-called "aquatic theory" of man's early development, which I feel is as significant as anything I have ever found in this field. And, of course, I will have the latest updates on the Starchild testing from the Canadian researchers. They've turned up a couple of genuine humdingers! The program begins at 10:00 pm Pacific Time (1:00 am Eastern) and runs until 2:00 am Pacific time (5:00 am Eastern). In addition to the above, I hope to also be announcing what I am about to tell you now as a kind of "advance preview." As most of you know, I wrote fiction for many years. During those years I produced a large body of material. For a long time now it has simply been hidden from view, either unpublished or long out of print. Now I have found a way to make ALL of my major material available for public consumption, and I will be asking the audience--as I am asking you now--for help in deciding how to deal with this project. Because the sales end of my marketing campaign has overwhelmed me, I can no longer meet the demand for my book and continue with my research and writing at the same time. So I am now entering into an agreement with a company called iUniverse (www.iUniverse.com), which is designed to get books out to market in both e-book format and as regular print-on-demand books. For me this is the best of all possible worlds because it relieves me of pressures and obligations I have simply been unable to live up to lately. By the start of the show with Mike, my website will be completely revamped to feature the six new fiction offerings I will soon be making available as e-books and as regular books. It addition to "Everything You Know Is Wrong," I will be offering five novels and three optioned movie scripts (separately as e-books and together as a regular book), all of which will hopefully be available for acquisition by the end of August. But the sequence I choose to produce them will be important because converting each one to the proper format is difficult and time consuming. "Everything You Know Is Wrong" will be first, of course, so it will be available for purchase again by the end of July. What I need to know is the order I should work on the rest of them. If you can give me an hour or so from your busy life, I would very much appreciate you reading the synopsis of each of the five books and the screenplays (this is not as extensive as it sounds), rank them in your order of preference, and email those results to me. You don't have to bother with the excerpts of each if you don't want to. Those are more of a selling tool than an evaluation tool. And I need your feedback within the next week, if possible, because as soon as I prepare Book One for republication with iUniverse, I will be needing to know which of the fiction books the majority of you would like to see made available first. Eventually all of them will be made available, but as you can see, the sequence I do them in will be important. The bad news is that this sidetrack is going to require two months of my time, if not more. At this point I can only guess, but it seems like a lot of work. Understand that much of what I wrote in the old days was done on typewriters (for those of you who can't remember that far back, they were what we used before computers!). So every page of that material has to be scanned into the computer and then formatted into Word. And, of course, some of it has to be edited to close the gap between when it was written and today. Though this will have a definite negative impact on my schedule for Book Two, I believe it will be worth it in the long run. It is a one-time effort I will never have to make again, and it truly is something I've been anxious to do for a long time. I was a good fiction writer, and I'm confident that people will like my work as much today as they did in the past. So now when someone asks me if they can read any of my fiction, I won't have to tell them it is all out of print. It will be available to anyone who wants it. But not for another month or two!
