Hitler killed his own troops in sinister experiment to build the master race >From Will Stewart in Moscow SHOCKING evidence of sinister Nazi experiments to discover the secrets of the "master race" has been found by archaeologists. Bones of German soldiers who had been experimented on during the Second World War were uncovered in southern Ukraine at a site occupied by a secret Nazi laboratory. Forensic examination showed that the bones were those of soldiers and airmen who had died young - but not in action. Experts believe that while grieving relatives in Germany were told their sons and brothers were killed in the war, they were in fact murdered on Hitler's orders as part of a programme to study the biological and genetic make-up of "ideal" Aryan males. Elderly locals in Ukraine remembered that the site was a Nazi "hospital" facility that was always surrounded by intense security. But what shocked the archaeologists was the way that many of the bones had been carefully dissected. "We were horrified to discover that some of the skeletons had the colons cut vertically in half," said a source close to the excavation in the Crimea. Many of the remains had holes deliberately drilled into the bones. None of the wounds was consistent with war action. All were inflicted after death, which may have been by lethal injection or poisoning, according to Russian and Ukrainian experts. Medals and other insignia buried with the remains showed the dead to be members of the Luftwaffe or German navy along with SS men and elite infantry troops. There was also evidence some were Austrian officers belonging to Hitler's special security detachment. "The remains are all tall and from the 20 to 25 age group, consistent with being from the Aryan ideal so cherished by the Nazis," said one expert. It is known that Hitler's henchman Heinrich Himmler had implemented a secret programme to provide "scientific" evidence to back up Nazi racial superiority theories. The Nazis believed they could manipulate the breeding of the "master race". At the end of the war, as German territories were overrun by the Allies, evidence was accumulated by the Americans, Soviets and British of these experiments. But the site in Ukraine was not previously known and only came to light during recent construction work. Recently, the Ukrainians officially informed the German authorities about the graveyard. Accounts in Ukraine and Russia say a specialist group dealing with excavations of Nazi war graves was sent from Germany to examine the site. Initially, members had hopes that it might be possible to return remains to families, or at least inform them that the resting place of their relatives had been found. "When they were shown the sawn bones, the expressions on their faces changed," said the source.
