The picture of a Palestinian rock compared to an Israeli automatic rifle,
is what is called " misdirection " in a magic act, or in propaganda.
The weapons are not the same because the goals are not the same. To achieve
their goals, the Palestinians need to produce sympathy by producing dead
Palestinians. The younger the better.
To achieve their goals, the Israelis need to produce some dead Palestinians
for a warning, and keep the toll as low as possible while defending themselves
from rocks and bricks ( which are deadly,) and preventing an escalating revolt
in their own back yard.
The numbers of dead and wounded attest to the success of both sides.
The lie here is that the Palestinians are ONLY fighting with rocks. From
day one, the Tanzin, Arafat's armed militia, has been using live ammunition
without a rubber coating. So have the Palestinian Police who were armed by
Israel to prevent just such an uprising. They did not.
The fact that most people are sympathetic to the Palestinians shows how
very effective Arafat's plan turned out be. He won the battle. But now he
will lose the war. Liberal, and Leftie backers, having been shallow, stupid,
and well duped, (just as they were during the Kosovo war,) will now bear some
responsibility for what comes next.
The real threat of the Palestinians is to be found behind the rock in the
picture. Go ahead. Move the rock. Do you see it. It's a full blown Middle-
East war.
The real threat of the Israelis is behind the gun in the picture. Do you
see it? It's a nuclear bomb.
So go ahead. Push the propaganda. Enjoy your gush of self righteousness.
Enjoy your justifications for ethnic hatred. Remember how you felt at the
beginning, because you sure won't feel that way at the end.
