In light of other events, this is very interesting. Do you have more info
on Chiles' untimely death?
Harris' opponent for Sec of State in 1998 (incumbent Republican) was
accused of attempting to take illegal campaign contributions that were in
violation of laws she helped to create. She said her opponents attacked her,
her husband and her children - they only spared her dogs, and were now going
for her staff. It smelled like a set-up to me. See:
