Ex-Klan leader Duke may settle in Russia

MOSCOW, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- David Duke, a former leader of the Ku
Klux Klan hopes to settle in Russia, the Interfax news agency
reports.
Duke, who has made friends in Moscow among the extreme
nationalists led by Albert Makashov, has caused outrage among
Russia's human rights activists by openly marketing his book
"Ultimate Supremacism: An Examination of the Jewish Question."
Interfax said Duke wants to continue the "struggle against
people of other colors and Jews" from a base in Russia, but he
may have trouble receiving a residency permit from the Russian
authorities.
Duke was a Republican Louisiana state representative in the
1980s. He also ran for governor, but lost.
