I dunno~~maybe Freeh wants the documents to try to put the pieces together and see what actually went on with Hassen.  If he went to Reno and she refused to prosecute, seems he would be off the hook.  This cannot be good for morale.  Freeh also has six kids to educate and govt salaries, unless one is selling secrets, leave much to be desired.

But the real question is, why would Reno not prosecute?  Just because the CIA told her not to do so is not really an excuse.

And while we are on the subject of ALMARTINRAW. I continue to read with amazement his posts about things being sold out of Redstone Arsenal.  Some of the things he says are outright lies, like barracks with doors hanging off, etc. for there are none in that condition at Redstone.  It has far too much traffic and activity and is becoming crowded.  It does not have vast uncharted areas.  Another thing I find odd about the alleged goings on is the fact he says these officers making mega bucks are eating and meeting at the cheesy Red Lobster which is tiny and has NO privacy.  Have eaten there many times myself and there is not a table in the entire restaurant from which one could not be heard.  Even the smoking section is really wide open.

And besides, there is Landry's much closer to the arsenal which is more upscale and DOES have private rooms.  The food is about 100 times better.  Why would these men not meet there if they have this uncontrollable urge for seafood as well as illicit arms and technologies?

Now in his last article, I noticed the 'Friendly Colonel' doing some major back-pedaling and NOW claiming not to know what the things sold really were!! He has to write the Lot No. on a napkin and confer with others to find out what to even call this stuff!!  As for the wristwatches that will 'detonate a bomb two blocks away' well so will a cell phone if you know what you are doing so this does not really sound like much.  As for the other items, if they are the items without the explosives, like practice grenades, they certainly look and feel real, just won't do anything until the component is added.  These can be bought at any Army/Navy Surplus store.  I used to have one of those practice grenades on my desk as a paperweight. :-)  NO ONE piled more work on MY desk.  LOL!  Got some strange looks for they are real grenades, just no explosives.  One day it rolled off and hit my toe and so I tossed it into the trash as it was painful for they weigh the same as a real grenade and are made of heavy cast iron.  Then I got a call about there being a 'bomb' in my trash!!

So, I continue to watch for more from Mr. Martin but he seems to be backing off his original allegations and now the Colonel does not know what was being sold and is just writing numbers on napkins!  Will see what Martin says next and attempt to verify if he gives enough detail to do so. I wonder if Martin has considered the Colonel might be pulling his leg or slightly deluded as there are extensive inventories and massive records, in triplicate military fashion, kept on everything.  Awaiting his next article on Redstone.
