I can imagine they did, but no effort was made to explain was there?
Imagine that the people down the block from you have a fire that destroys
their house. The house might have been saved, but the fire department decided
not to bother to respond to their call for help. Since the folks that have
had the burn out have no place to call their own, they need a place to live.
So, the mayor, the fire chief and the local minister (knowing they had done a
bad thing by not putting out the fire) decide the family should move into
your house with you. You are furious and tell everyone to get them out. You
are told that several hundred years ago, the great-grandparents of this
family lived in your house. That gives them a right to your domicile, and
you and yours can now make your home in the garage. Chances are this matter
could escalate into a real disagreement. Prudy
