Author's Stated Purpose of Book:Webster undertakes one of the classic
studies of Secret Societies, their origins, their purposes, and their
evolution throughout the centuries. Secret Societies originated
Secret Societies, promising hidden, or "esoteric" knowledge that
could only be gained by the "Initiate", and kept from the common
people, also known as the "Profane". Author shows the Ancient
progression of secret societies, from Egypt, to the Jewish Cabbala,
to the counterfeit Christian group, The Essenes and the Gnostics, to
the European secret societies. He shows the key common
characteristics of all secret societies, of every age and continent.
He also shows that all speculative secret societies are religions,
based upon good works performed by men who are striving for
"perfection".
Key Points: 1) Jewish Pharisees were participants in an occultic
secret society, and that is one of the key reasons they so forcefully
rejected Jesus Christ; in the 13th Century, this secret society was
known as the Cabbala; 2) Author probes the origins of Freemasonry,
the links between Rosicrucianism, the Templars, and the Illuminati.
3) Webster traces the beginnings of the infusion of radical
revolution into the traditional doctrines of Freemasonry in the
latter 1700's; 4) Webster shows that the modern secret societies, led
by Freemasonry, are acting according to a plan to "undermine social
and moral order, and above all, Christian civilization". [P. 403] 5)
Modern secret societies are Illuminist [Luciferian], but are based
upon the Jewish Cabbala, and are being led by German interests, with
mighty American support. 6) All secret societies in the modern era
have but one common goal: the eradication of all nation states, and
the establishment of one global government and the worship of the
occult.

Lenin and his forces received from German Freemasonry sources within the German
military of World War I.
Verification From Other Sources: Many other New Age books speak of some of the same
conspiracies but none puts it all together like this one.
