News - Gnutella Developer Gene Kan, 25, Commits Suicidehe wasn't a napster dude. he was a Gnutella dude. napster sold out anyway to bertlesman (sp.?) and has appointed the original creator as ceo. or something. so the corporates achieved what they wanted without murder. i am pretty sure the commercial napster enterprise has filed bancruptsy now too.
and killing a developer of Gnutella is not really worth thinking about. Gnustella was/ is sweet because it is open source and killing him, now that it is alredy created, would be like murdering the chap who developed the original Linux. pointless as it has already been made and spread open sourced throughout the world. the software corp's style is to employ these maverick programmers. this gnutella dude was working for Sun. ----- Original Message ----- From: Yahoo!
