Its pretty simple

Arabs come from the Arabian peninsula and speak Arabic.

The Arabs swept out of the peninsula and also inhabit parts of north Africa.

Turks come from turkey and speak Turkish

Well it's not that simple.  The Arabs must have swept out a long, long time ago.  The Turks came originally from Central Asia, and spoke Turkish.  They changed to Arabic eons ago, and it was only at the direction of Kemal Ataturk that they went back to their Turkic culture and language.  There are reams of books about Turkey still in Arabic and not translated.  The Ford Foundation offered to do it quite a long time ago, and the authorities turned them down.  I think they wish they had accepted the offer now.  Everybody who speaks Arabic is not an Arab, but it contents some to think they are.  Many Turks speak Arabic for many reasons, but not usually because they are Arabs.  Prudy
