ldapsearch for gss-spnego mechanism returns error?

My ldapsearch for mechanism type "-Y GSS-SPNEGO" returns "Unknown mechanism" 
error.

Is there anything I am missing in my installation. Pluginviewer command 
returned both NTLM and GSSAPI plugins are installed on the client side. Any 
ideas?
