A bit off topic. I have been able to configure and print from Debian/Linux on a Epson Pro 3880.
The printer was configured via Cups: http://localhost:631 The printer was detected. The proposed driver was: Epson Stylus Pro 3880 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9 (en) And my paper was proposed in the media type combo: Premium Luster Photo Paper. I've done a tests print, looks ok.
