First things in my mind are your nfs server may not be running, firewall or file permissions may be wrong. Please check your PC's nfs settings. When you issue "rpcinfo -p" command in your host you should see that portmapper is running. The link http://tldp.org/HOWTO/NFS-HOWTO/server.html helped me in the past to setup my server.
