Hello --

I looked through the archives and didn't find a solution to this. I'm
trying to compile 1.1. I have the mysql development package installed,
and I have an earlier version of DBMail running...

[EMAIL PROTECTED] dbmail-1.1]$ ./configure --with-mysql
loading cache ./config.cache

This is dbmail's GNU configure script.
It's going to run a bunch of strange tests to hopefully
make your compile work without much twiddling.

checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for working aclocal... found
checking for working autoconf... found
checking for working automake... found
checking for working autoheader... found
checking for working makeinfo... found
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles...
no
checking for ranlib... ranlib
checking for mysql.h... /usr/include/mysql/mysql.h
checking for mysql_real_connect in -lmysqlclient... no
configure: error:
Unable to link against mysqlclient. It appears you are missing the
development libraries or they aren't in your linker's path

[EMAIL PROTECTED] dbmail-1.1]$ rpm -qa |grep mysql
mysqlclient9-3.23.22-8
mysql-3.23.56-1.72
mysql-devel-3.23.56-1.72
php-mysql-4.1.2-7.2.6
mysql-server-3.23.56-1.72
[EMAIL PROTECTED] dbmail-1.1]$

Thanks,
