No, the feature listed above doesn't corrupt data, but also doesn't
help with hard drive performance.  The patch that helps with hard
drive performance is POLLED_DMA_COPY_USER ("Perform copy_to_user with
a DMA engine (polled)"), which is not in 2.6.23-1.
