Package: offlineimap Version: 6.5.4-2 Severity: normal If a remote IMAP repository (type = IMAP) has the "readonly" option set to "True", offlineimap will happily ignore any "createfolders = False" option and re-create deleted remote folders. This does not happen with "type = Gmail" repositories. Commenting out "createfolders = False" does not change anything - commenting out "readonly = True" and leaving "createfolders = False" commented in results in folders not being re-created on the remote.
Since this works for Gmail accounts, I assume that this is a simple oversight in the generic IMAP handling code. I'm somewhat tempted to set a higher severity since strictly speaking this causes data loss... -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages offlineimap depends on: ii libjs-sphinxdoc 1.1.3+dfsg-4 ii python 2.7.3~rc2-1 ii python2.6 2.6.8-0.2 ii python2.7 2.7.3~rc2-2.1 Versions of packages offlineimap recommends: pn python-sqlite <none> Versions of packages offlineimap suggests: pn doc-base <none> pn python-kerberos <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
