Problems in Boost still cause aptitude to FTBFS with gcc-4.8. New point release to be made available once these blocking bugs are fixed: - <http://bugs.debian.org/710210> in libboost1.53-dev - <http://bugs.debian.org/710211> in libboost1.49-dev There is a similar issue with google-mock and gcc-4.8. If needed that part of the test suite can be temporarily disabled to avoid holding up the transitions.
