The choreonoid maintainer has agreed to my fix.
(This starts to be offtopic, so perhaps would be better to stop
discussing it in the bug report).
Where would you suggest: #718381 (the openwalnut breakage) or a new
wishlist bug against openscenegraph?
I don't understand why this would not be useful with my proposal.
I didn't say it would be useless, just less useful than the high
proportion of breakages here might suggest.
