Hello, can you please add the output of lsmod from both 2.6.12 and 2.6.14?
I suspect yaird is loading the ide_generic module before the mainboard-specific one. If this is the case, please edit /etc/yaird/Default.cfg in the section CONFIG, add MODULE ide-core MODULE via82cxxx MODULE ide_generic and replace via82cxxx with whatever your ide-driver should be.
