Hello, Many thanks for the bug fix on sourceforge. It's now applied as SVN revision 3608. I'll produce a new release sometime soon, but I doubt this is particularly high priority given the esoteric case and the platforms affected.
By chance I happened to stumble on the build logs at https://buildd.debian.org/status/logs.php?pkg=staden-io-lib&ver=1.13.5-1 and came to the same fix last night. We could have avoided duplication of effort if upstream (ie me) was contacted about the bug when it was first identified. (As is obvious I don't routinely build on non-x86 architectures.
