Package: gnome-session Version: 3.8.4-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I would like to try mate but gnome-session or/and gdm3 doesn't show mate as a choice.
Looking at /usr/share/gnome-session/sessions I see the following choices only :- /usr/share/gnome-session/sessions$ ls cinnamon2d.session gdm-shell.session gnome-flashback.session openbox-gnome-fallback.session cinnamon.session gnome-classic.session gnome.session openbox-gnome.session shouldn't there be a mate-gnome.session as well ? I don't know if the bug is in gnome-session, gdm3 or mate itself. It would be nice if people could tell who's the culprit and re-direct if gdm3 is not at fault. Looking forward to understand. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-updates'), (1, 'experimental'), (1, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IN, LC_CTYPE=en_IN (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gnome-session depends on: ii gnome-session-bin 3.8.4-3 ii gnome-session-common 3.8.4-3 ii gnome-settings-daemon 3.8.5-2 ii gnome-shell 3.8.4-5+b1 gnome-session recommends no packages.
