Thanks for filing these bugs, but there are a couple of issues here: 1) This appears to be a mass bug filing; it should probably be discussed on debian-de...@lists.debian.org first. [If that happened, and I missed it, I'm sorry in advance.] 2) This particular issue in scowl itself would be trivially fixed by #666772, which has a patch, and has been open for two years with that patch...
