Hi Johannes, PulseAudio is not a strict dependency for Kazam. A "--nosound" flag is provided to start it without that dependency. Though it should probably fallback gracefully or at least mention this in an error message. In fact it looks like it does attempt to fail gracefully, but this is not working: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~kazam-team/kazam/stable/view/head:/kazam/app.py#L88 As such, I'm leaving this open but downgrading the status to normal.
