Package: mkdocs
Version: 0.15.3-4
Severity: normal

Dear maintainer,

This package installs a lot of *.js files under
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/mkdics/themes. While some of these are
mkdocs-specific, a lot of them are available in binary packages in
Debian. For example, there are several minified copies of jquery, which
is available in bin:libjs-jquery.

Except in cases where it is known that the current version of a library
in Debian is incompatible with a given mkdocs theme (which might be
considered an upstream bug), mkdocs should depend on the relevant
libjs-* package and install a symlink to the minified file provided by
that package, instead of another minified copy of the library.

Thanks.
