I had tried most of them, yes. I disabled the lightning plugin and checked that it was causing the problem (that's why I filed the bug against the lightning package.) I hadn't tried creating a fresh profile. Having done that now, it does seem that lightning works OK with the fresh profile. There's still a problem though; my existing profile contains a lot of information I don't want to lose or have to manually recreate, like message filter rules and so on. Bob
