Would have been nice to not waste my time, but oh well.. Some suggestions: - please mention somewhere (like in the "new upstream release" bug report - CCed) that you're working on things. - please start small, eg. by just updating the Vcs-* fields and setting yourself as maintainer in an initial upload. Just to get the basic information updated in the package tracker ASAP. - consider actually using alioth archived git repo plus the changes already in the debian archive(!) as the base for your work. While you still have the chance, since your work is not yet uploaded (AFAICT), you probably don't fancy to start over again. (And likewise, on top of my last point above, there's too much changes in the repo for me to find energy to wade through them all right now.)
